About Sons of Italy Foundation
At the Sons of Italy Foundation, we believe in preserving our cultural roots while fostering unity and opportunity for all. Together, we shape a future of hope, resilience, and meaningful impact.
Mission
The Sons of Italy Foundation® established in 1959, is the philanthropic arm of the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, dedicated to preserving and promoting Italian heritage, culture, and values through charitable giving and impactful projects. Our mission is to empower communities by fostering educational opportunities, supporting innovative leadership, and contributing to the well-being of those in need.
Through scholarships, disaster relief efforts, and partnerships with organizations like the Alzheimer’s Association and the Cooley’s Anemia Foundation, we work to create a lasting impact. The SIF also honors outstanding community leaders through our National Education & Leadership Awards Gala, ensuring that the spirit of service and unity continues to thrive. Join us in our journey of philanthropy as we shape a future of opportunity, unity, and enduring impact for generations to come.
TOGETHER FOR CHANGE
A Legacy of Giving with Our National Beneficiaries
The Sons of Italy Foundation is proud to partner with organizations that create meaningful change in the lives of individuals and families across the nation. Through our support of these four incredible beneficiaries, we work together to address critical health and community challenges. Our commitment is to continue making a positive impact on these causes and create a legacy of giving and hope.
The Alzheimer’s Association is dedicated to advancing research and providing support for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. They aim to find a cure while improving the lives of those impacted by the disease.
The Cooley’s Anemia Foundation works to raise awareness and support research for thalassemia, a genetic blood disorder that disproportionately impacts people of Italian descent. They provide resources and financial assistance to families affected by this rare condition.
Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism supports families affected by autism by providing grants, resources, and programs to improve their quality of life. The Foundation works to promote independence and opportunity for individuals with autism.
Owned by the Sons of Italy Foundation®, this Staten Island landmark honors inventor Antonio Meucci and Italian hero Giuseppe Garibaldi, preserving their legacy and Meucci’s pioneering work in voice transmission.
