National Beneficiaries
The Sons of Italy Foundation is proud to partner with organizations that create meaningful change in the lives of individuals and families across the nation. Through our support of these four incredible beneficiaries, we work together to address critical health and community challenges. Our commitment is to continue making a positive impact on these causes and create a legacy of giving and hope.
Alzheimer's Association
The Alzheimer’s Association is dedicated to advancing research and providing support for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. They aim to find a cure while improving the lives of those impacted by the disease.
Cooley’s Anemia Foundation
The Cooley’s Anemia Foundation works to raise awareness and support research for thalassemia, a genetic blood disorder. They provide resources and financial assistance to families affected by this rare condition.
Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism
Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism supports families affected by autism by providing grants, resources, and programs to improve their quality of life. The Foundation works to promote independence and opportunity for individuals with autism.
Garibaldi-Meucci Museum
Operated by the Sons of Italy Foundation®, this Staten Island landmark honors inventor Antonio Meucci and Italian hero Giuseppe Garibaldi, which preserves their legacy and Meucci’s pioneering work in voice transmission.
Fundraising & Philanthropic Efforts
The Sons of Italy Foundation® (SIF) General Charity Fund allows us to respond swiftly and effectively, directing support where it’s needed most.
In addition to ongoing fundraising efforts to support key national beneficiaries, in times of urgent need, we also launch special campaigns to provide critical relief and honor important causes. Past efforts have included support for victims of 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, the L’Aquila earthquake, and the Asian tsunami. We’ve also funded lasting tributes such as memorials for 9/11, World War II, and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
Every gift strengthens our ability to meet both everyday and extraordinary needs across the country and around the world.
Sponsored Grants
The Sons of Italy Foundation® reviews Grant Applications for foundations, institutions or individuals whose mission is in line with ours: for the purpose of preserving Italian American culture, encouraging educational excellence among Italian Americans and improving lives in other areas. Each submission will be reviewed individually and it will be determined if SIF has the appropriate funds to support the project.
